James S. Shoenfelt, ACAS MAAA --
Jim founded Shoenfelt Consulting in 2002. Shoenfelt Consulting prepared hundreds of rates, rules, and forms filings, provided pricing analysis, independent reserving analysis, regulatory support, product development, and other insurance analysis to clients including:
- small single state insurers
- large U.S. insurers
- international insurers with operations including the London market, Bermuda and the E.U.
- personal lines insurers
- commercial lines insurers
- specialty writers (e.g. pet, title)
- self-insureds, captives and self-insured retention insureds (e.g. municipalities, hospitals, and retailers)
In 2015, Jim left Shoenfelt Consulting to accept a position at one of Shoenfelt Consulting's clients. Jim worked here until 2019 as Chief Pricing Actuary and Chief Quantitative Underwriter. This insurer joined the Fortune 500 during this period.
In 2019, Jim founded Beauchamp Inc. with to re-build an actuarial consulting practice based on his consulting experience at Shoenfelt Consulting and his executive actuarial and underwriting roles with a multinational Fortune 500 insurer.
